Thermal Electric Generators

also known as Seedbeck Generators, they are mechanisms that take heat flux directly convert it into electrical energy through a phenomenon called the Seebeck effect

Why I am so Interested

If we could, in theory, harness the bi-prouduct of electrical work, which is thermal energy, and essentially pour that back into our system, then it would be closed system that constantly recycles energy. I don't think it is possible to recycle forever- small amounts of energy to the environment is inevitable, but I think we could do a better job of using a by-product of energy.

On a small scale (which is the hardest way to do this ) this would look like computers with no fan or heat-sink, but rather just small ways to caputre the thermal energy and convert it back into electrical energy.
